Welcome to the new Pharmacists Public Health Initiatives
Pharmacists Planning Service, Inc. (PPSI) is Now
Pharmacists Public Health Initiatives | PPHI
Now more than ever, we want to emphasize the important role pharmacists play in keeping their communities safe. Our goal was to select a new name and visual identity that would clearly convey our focus on furthering the public health role of the pharmacist.
Our new name: Pharmacists Public Health Initiatives (PPHI) demonstrates our commitment to working with pharmacists, organizations, and other healthcare providers to improve the health of the world around us.
Front-line healthcare providers and public health professionals play an essential role in alerting and educating consumers on cannabis use and on drug interactions that may occur with cannabis and CBD usage.
CannabisRxInfo.org has been developed by the American College of Apothecaries Research and Education Foundation and Pharmacists Public Health Initiatives | PPHI to inform the public health community on the safety and efficacy of cannabis and CBD products and on key considerations surrounding the role of the healthcare professional when speaking with patients who use cannabis.

National Pharmacy Non-Profits Announce Partnership
for Public Health Education
The American College of Apothecaries Research & Education Foundation (ACA Foundation) announced a partnership with the Pharmacists Public Health Initiatives | PPHI, a California-based non-profit corporation in a move designed to expand the reach of PPHI’s education and patient directed advocacy efforts to a nationwide audience.
Paul W. Lofholm, PharmD, FACA, who currently sits on the boards of both the ACA Foundation and PPHI, is optimistic about the benefits this arrangement will provide. “Combining the resources of these two organizations will streamline the administrative processes and strengthen our commitment to supporting pharmacists in providing services designed to improve community health. Under the leadership of its founder Fred Mayer, PPHI has organized or been involved in many continuing education events and campaigns to promote health care awareness and improve public health. We believe that this partnership between PPHI and the ACA Foundation ensures that these valuable programs will serve the public for many years to come.”
Under the arrangement, the ACA Foundation and PPHI will work together to co-present selected public health educational initiatives to pharmacists, other health care professionals, and members of the public.
